At The Written Haus, we carefully pack and ship each order with the same attention to detail we give to crafting and sourcing our products. This policy outlines our shipping practices and what you can expect when ordering from us.

Processing Time

Standard Orders: Orders are typically processed and shipped within 3-5 business days

Custom/Personalized Items: Allow 7-10 business days for processing

Peak Seasons: During holidays and promotional periods, processing may take up to 10 business days
All orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days

Express Shipping: 1-2 business days

Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. You can track your package through the carrier's website using the provided tracking number.

Shipping Restrictions
We are currently unable to ship to:

P.O. boxes for expedited or express shipping

Military APO/FPO addresses (contact us for assistance)

Certain international locations (see checkout for availability)

Package Contents
Each order is carefully packed to ensure your items arrive safely:

Products are wrapped in protective materials

Fragile items receive additional padding

Orders include an invoice and care instructions where applicable

Shipping Delays
While we strive to meet estimated delivery times, delays may occur due to:

We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, but we will do our best to assist you in tracking your package.

Lost or Damaged Packages
Lost Packages:
If your tracking information shows your package as delivered but you haven't received it:

Check with neighbors and household members

Look around your delivery location (porches, garages, etc.)

Contact your local post office or carrier

Wait 48 hours from the delivery date

If still missing, contact us at thewrittenhaus@gmail.com

We will work with the carrier to locate your package. For packages confirmed lost by the carrier, we will provide a replacement or refund.

Damaged Packages:
If your package arrives damaged:

Take photos of the packaging and any damaged items

Keep all packaging materials

Contact us within 48 hours at thewrittenhaus@gmail.com with photos

We will assess the damage and provide a replacement or refund as appropriate. Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of our leather products (see our Refund Policy for details about natural variations), only items damaged during shipping qualify for replacement.

Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. We cannot be held responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If you need to change your shipping address, contact us immediately at thewrittenhaus@gmail.com. We can only modify addresses before the order ships.

Returned Packages:
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for reshipping costs.

Signature Requirements
Some high-value orders may require a signature upon delivery for security purposes. If you will not be available to sign, you may:

Arrange for someone else to receive the package

Provide special delivery instructions to the carrier

Arrange to pick up the package at a carrier facility

Multiple Items/Split Shipments
If your order contains multiple items, they may ship separately depending on availability and location. You will receive separate tracking information for each shipment. You will not be charged additional shipping fees for split shipments.

Undeliverable Packages
Packages that cannot be delivered and are returned to us will be refunded minus original shipping costs. You will be notified when we receive the returned package.
